As all say, Make Hay while the sun shines, so this saying holds for all the FBO's ( Food Business Owners)- Shops, Hotels, Restaurants, Canteens, roadside eateries, home chefs regarding their FSSAI License.

Generally, an expired license attracts a penalty of 100 INR per day!

As per the FSSAI Act, 2006 of the Indian Govt. all the registered food business entities are mandated to renew their FSSAI Food License before the duration ends. Thus, it is advisable for the concerned business owners to apply for FSSAI Food License renewal as soon as possible.

FSSAI has Extended the License Renewal Deadline

In the Coronavirus Pandemic's current scenario, and to provide relief to the FBO's, our lenient and thoughtful FSSAI Department has extended the Renewal of FSSAI License till 31.Dec 2020. This is the third extension so far.

Earlier, it had given time till June 30 and then extended the deadline till July 31 for FBOs whose licenses or registrations had expired in the March 22-June 30 period. The Indian government has also waived off the late fees, as per clause 2.1.7(4) of the FSSAI (Licensing and Registration of Food Businesses) Regulations 2011, till December 31.
